  • In a clinical trial of migraine patients treated with ZOMIG Nasal Spray, headache response rates at 10 minutes were significantly better than placebo; 15.1% with ZOMIG Nasal Spray 5 mg vs 9.1% with placebo, increasingly rapidly to 64.8% at 2 hours vs 23.9% with placebo. Headache response is defined as a moderate or severe headache improving to mild or no pain.
  • In a clinical trial of migraine patients treated with ZOMIG-ZMT, headache response in those taking 5 mg tablets was achieved in 16.5% of attacks as early as 30 minutes (placebo 12.5%), increasing to 59% of attacks at 2 hours (placebo, 30.6%). Headache response is defined as a moderate or severe headache improving to mild or no pain.
  • In a clinical trial of migraine patients treated with ZOMIG Tablets, headache response in those taking 5 mg tablets was achieved in 26.9% of attacks as early as 45 minutes (placebo, 17.3%), increasing to 62.1% of attacks at 2 hours (placebo, 36.0%). Headache response is defined as a moderate or severe headache improving to mild or no pain.

Important Safety Information

ZOMIG is a prescription medication used for the treatment of migraine with or without aura in adults

Do not take ZOMIG if you have hemiplegic or basilar migraine
  • You should not take ZOMIG if you have heart disease, history of, or risk factors for heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, circulation (blood flow) problems, or have had a stroke. Only your doctor can determine if ZOMIG is right for you
  • Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breast-feeding because ZOMIG may not be right for you
  • ZOMIG, like other triptans, may be associated with a potentially life-threatening condition called serotonin syndrome, mainly when taken together with certain antidepressants. Inform your doctor of all your medications prior to taking ZOMIG
  • Phenylketonurics: ZOMIG-ZMT® (zolmitriptan) Orally Disintegrating Tablets contain phenylalanine, a component of aspartame
  • Side Effects: The most common side effects reported by patients in clinical trials with ZOMIG Nasal Spray include unusual taste, tingling sensation, skin sensitivity, and dizziness
  • Side Effects: The most common side effects reported by patients in clinical trials with ZOMIG Tablets and ZOMIG-ZMT include dizziness; tightness, pressure, pain in the neck, throat, or jaw; fatigue; tingling; drowsiness; and nausea
  • Safety and effectiveness of ZOMIG in pediatric patients have not been established
